FDNY Celebrates Women’s History Month
On Thursday, March 31, the FDNY recognized the contributions of outstanding women from the Fire Department’s Firefighting, Emergency Medical Service and civilian workforce at the Women’s History Month Celebration, sponsored by the FDNY Quality of Work Life (QWL) Committee. The six female Commissioners presently serving with the FDNY were recognized for their extensive careers and devotion to public service, and seven honorees were chosen based on their performance, innovation and dedication to the work of the FDNY.
